How to say Yes, No, Maybe, Don't in Bisaya

A quick lesson for today, I will teach you how to say Yes, No, Maybe and Don't in Bisaya.

How to say Yes in Bisaya, How to say No in Bisaya, How to say  Maybe in Bisaya, How to say Don't in Bisaya


Yes - Oo
No - Dili or Wala (nothing/ it's not)
Maybe - Basin (Ba-sin)
Don't - Ayaw


Here are some open-ended example sentences:

Example 1:
Ganahan ka ug Humba?
Do you like Humba (Filipino dish)?
              Ganahan – like
               Ka -you
               Ug – connecting word
        
Answer: O (Yes) / Dili (No)


Example 2.
Ayaw ko hikapa.
Don't touch me.
                Ayaw – don’t
                 Ko – me
                  Hikapa - touch



Example 3.
Makig-date ka nako?
Would you want to date me?
Basin. (Maybe)
           
            Makig-date – to go out on a date
            Ka – you
             Nako - me     

Example 4.
Basin moulan karon.
Maybe, it will rain today.

              Basin – maybe
              Moulan – will rain
              Karon – now/ today

Example 5.
Nag-ulan dinha?
Is it raining there?
Answer: O (Yes) / Wala (It's not)

               Nag-ulan – raining/ rained
               Dinha - there
